The Moodboard
"Uptown Girls" is a styling shoot I dressed and directed with the influence of Manhattan street style in the back of my mind. It is reminiscent of memories in the big apple finding hole-in-the-wall bars, stumbling upon live music, and catching the L Train late at night. I employed two of my friends to model for and assist with the shoot, and we scrapped together outfits and scenery meant to evoke the energy of preparing for a Girl's Night Out in the city of dreams while being in the prime of your youth. I took major inspiration from Sex and the city when styling this shoot, and included many elements of the characters' wardrobes such as loud fur coats and statement kitten heels.
